A brief to design festival shirts representative of the festival and bands that were attend.
The brief was to design tshirt for an indie rock festival capturing the brand behind the event. The client hosted a showcase to describe the brand, the event and what it was they wanted out of this project.
From here, independent research focused on Pinterest for inspiration with typography. Additionally, it was useful to look into bands and how they use illustration to market their desired aesthetic. Photoshop provided a useful medium to experiment with ideas developed in illustrator and through photography.
In the end, the illustrated typography, inspired by the Pinterest mood board, was the best choice. Also, a skull was designed to represent the vibration of the music was photoshopped onto a T-shirt to provide an example of branding. The font was used in this design and helped to add texture. The only issue with the font was potentially clarity however, had this been chosen, this could have been refined by the clients request.
