Project objective was to create a flipbook based around a piece in the I want I want exhibition. The work was inspired by a piece Tigger happy and consisted of 300 pages.
The brief was to make create a flip book for the Birmingham Museum and art gallery inspired by one the piece from the ‘I want I want’ exhibition.
Exploring the museum gave an opportunity to examine every piece and understand their themes. Nostalgia was a prominent themes throughout the museum and the piece chosen was “Trigger Happy” - poetry was mixed into the video game space invaders. To develop an idea, video game consoles throughout time were researched.
The final piece was a stop animation, based around consoles throughout the ages in time order. Specifically, the consoles I had owned were included to provide the required personal touch to the flipbook. Over 300 pages of animation were create spanning over three flip books.
